Designed by Oji Masanori in collaboration with Futagami Company Ltd, Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. Futagami was founded in 1897 and has a long history of making brass artifacts. This roughly cast brass changes its colour over the course of many years due to oxidisation; the longer they are used, the richer and subtler they become.
